Central Zone covers an area from Bathurst to Lake Cargelligo and Dubbo to West Wyalong.
Visiting shooters came from Wellington, Bathurst, Forbes.
The club was pleased to welcome Peter Kenyon from Nowra.
In past years Peter was a regular member of the Parkes Club for some time.
Results were:
Central Zone Double Barrel Championship: 1st Clint Hawke closely followed by R Spedding, B Dean, and F Dutton in their grades.
Central Zone Single Barrel Championship: Clint Hawke took out the championship with Spedding, Redfern and Hodges grade winners.
Zone Point Score Champion: Laurie Redfern 1st with Clint Hawke, B Dead and A Hodges getting the grades.
The High Gun trophy for highest number of points at the end of the day was won narrowly by Redfern who is a strong supporter of the club.
The whole day went smoothly and in a well organised manner with no hold ups or trouble with traps, for what was one of our most important events of the year.
The next shoot will be the Toby Hawke Memorial on August 12.
All proceeds on the day will go to Can Assist.
This shoot will be well supported by the Hawke Family, along with many of Toby’s old shooting mates.
