The popular television host and his Today Show colleagues Lisa Wilkinson, Sylvia Jeffreys, Tim Gilbert and Richard Wilkins will hit Dubbo on Thursday, June 29 as part of the program’s 35th birthday celebrations.
The ‘We Love Australia’ tour will incorporate visits to Hamilton Island, Winton and Glenrowan, the site of Ned Kelly’s final stand, before stopping in Dubbo on day four.
A jam-packed morning will be based primarily at Taronga Western Plains Zoo but will also include a visit to the Old Dubbo Gaol, the Japanese Gardens and local dairies.
Karl, Lisa and Tim will get immersed in zoo life, up close and personal with hippos, elephants, giraffes, meerkats, cheetahs, tigers, lions and monkeys.
As an added bonus they will be asking viewers to help name the zoo’s baby hippo.
“This is pure Australia. Reef, outback, Ned Kelly and lethal animals,” Stefanovic said.
