BOGAN GATE GOLF
Saturday April 15 was our first game of the year, a brilliantly constructed Par 3 event was organized, and I have been advised by the women players they are going to kill the organiser (ha ha).
Winner on 72 gross, net 57.75 was Alexander McKeowen, (who along with other family was visiting his dad +family for easter). Runner-up was Ron Boness with 68 gross net 58.25.
Ladies winner was Di Cornelissen with 91 gross, net 64, runner-up was Alice McKeowen with 94 gross, net 76.75.

Last Saturday was a highly successful day in aid to raise funds for the Greg & Sheree Phillips’ family after the terrible motor vehicle accident to their lovely daughter Brooke. The day’s event raised approximately $3000 with funds still coming in. Tickets are still available from the Services club & the Railway Bowling Club for $500 car tyres generously donated by Telescope Tyres they will be drawn on April 28.
Winners on the day were the Mike Phillips team. Runners-up Steve Nicholson team.
Not a great deal of matches over the weekend due to Easter, one match played previous to Easter was between Baldy Frame & Jim Daley. Baldy was the convincing winner 31-8. Although Baldy was too good on the day, Jimmy has not played a lot of bowls of late and will be force to be reckoned with in matches to come.
