It bought the best out of the team as Parkes have since gone undefeated on their march to this Sunday’s final at Ex-Services Club in Orange.
They will go into the final as underdogs as opponents Mudgee have been in red hot form of late.
While all of Parkes team members have shown good form at various stages throughout the competition, the team’s No 1 Tim Burke has been outstanding.
Going up against some of the best players in the other teams, Burke has remained undefeated with some very impressive results.
No 2 Phil Barnard will look to return to the winners’ circle on Sunday after suffering his first loss in the semi while Steve Edmonds, the only player remaining from Parkes’ title winning team in 2013, has once again been very consistent.
Tom Casey, Parkes’ No 4, has slowly but surely worked his way into form and came up with a crucial victory for his side last Sunday.
Buoyed by his recent victory, Casey will be full of confidence and up for the challenge while No 5 Denis Howard hopes to secure victory and steer his team to a memorable win in Sunday’s decider.
