The Reverend Graeme Gaul led the service, which reflected on Australia's service men and women.
Yvonne Hutton from Parkes Historical Society said the occasion was special as it kept the little church alive.
"Quite a few of our soldiers went to this little church," she said.
The historical society had a collection of memorabilia on display on Sunday, including a list of men who joined the Boomerang recruitment march to serve in World War I.
The march is to be reenacted later this month, departing Parkes on Saturday October 31.
Mrs Hutton said the centenary of the Gallipoli landing marked an important year for Australia.
"We remember all those who served, our gentlemen but also our nurses," she said.
"It's lovely for people to come together today with friendship and blessings."
