As many would know the PSCB has a much longer history.  Prior to 1995 PSCB were known as the Parkes Town Band.  In fact Parkes Brass Band was formed in 1893.

 As a way of celebrating PSCB are inviting other local and regional musicians to be part of the cultural occasion: our sustainable future lies with partnerships we have already formed. 

Duncan Clement is the Musical Director for the concert. Duncan is the voluntary music director and was with the Parkes Town Band 1986-1994. 

He has selected a good playlist and organised the music for musicians from Leeton and Griffith to join and play with PSCB to form a Massed Band for an evening concert In the Starlight Lounge, Parkes Services Club. 

The concert will be a celebration of the community music PSCB has provided during the last 20 years.  

The occasions of playing out in the shire during the past 20 years  are amazingly varied, for example, Olympic Torch Relay, Prince Charles and the Governor’s Visits, ABBA, Elvis, Tullamore Show, Peak Hill meet you down  the street, and of course every Australia Day and ANZAC Day.   

Tapestry, Lachlan Community Orchestra, and band members from Leeton Town Band, Griffith City Band have been invited to join and play with us.

We invite you all to come along to this family evening of fine music on Saturday in the Starlight lounge 7pm. Gold coin donation. 

 Sunday (25th) we are taking our visitors from Leeton and Griffith out to The Dish for breakfast, and play from 10-11am. Hope you come along.
