Today it is the Trundle Show which is also expecting good weather.
Tullamore Show President, Bernadette Boneham (in the last of her three year term) said the 92nd staging went off ‘beautifully.”
“We have received nothing but accolades,” she said.
“We had attractions scattered all over the showground, and there were good crowds present at most of the activities.”
Bernadette said the presence of the Roy Bell Boxing Tent was a huge attraction and generated wonderful atmosphere.
“The family has a strong connection with Tullamore with Roy Bell and his wife both buried here.
“The family still has a strong association but usually attends the Mt Isa Rodeo when the Tullamore Show is being held.
“This year however, there was no clash so the family was here in large numbers and really put on a good show. It was terrific to see and everyone enjoyed it.”
Bernadette also revealed that it was 50 years since the first Tullamore Showgirl competition was held.
“We were very fortunate to have three of those ladies present on Saturday, with the original Miss Showgirl, Sue McLaughlin (now Mudie) of Parkes to officially open the show.
“Also present were Mathea Clifton (now Usher) of Parkes, and Dorothy Swanson (now Davis) of Grafton.
“It was also very pleasing to see Beck, who was here as a backpacker working at the hotel, return and win the Demolition Derby.”
