Rock 'n' Roll your way to Elvis Central!
Elvis Central 2014 opens this morning in a convenient new central location in the main street - the former Ladybird Boutique site.
The NSW TrainLink Parkes Elvis Festival wouldn’t be complete without Elvis Central as the hub of all activities and information during the festival.
Established in 2005 (in a tent in Cooke Park), Elvis Central has operated as a focal point for Festival fans to purchase their official merchandise, souvenirs, and festival information.
Elvis and Priscilla wigs are a must for full participation in the spirit of celebrations and you will find a full range at Elvis Central along with sunglasses, themed shirts, stubby holders, memorabilia and everything Elvis.
All Proceeds made from items purchased at Elvis Central go back into the not-for-profit organisation Elvis Revival Inc (ERI).
This is the group which founded the festival 23 years ago and can only continue to grow through support of official festival events organised by this volunteer committee and the valuable support from Parkes Shire Council, Parkes Visitor information Centre and the fantastic community of Parkes and the wider region.
Elvis Central will be well marked with flags out the front.
It will be open daily during the festival with a short closure during the NorthParkes Mines Street Parade on Saturday morning.
The 2014 location places Elvis Central right in the heart of the CBD but still within easy access to Cooke Park with all of the activities such as the Main Stage performances, Renewal of Vows, markets, rock n roll and all of the action for the weekend.
After enjoying the buskers up and down the main street, people will be able to cast their vote for their favourite at the polling centre located in Elvis Central.
The wonderful ClubsNSW volunteers are on hand to assist with purchases and any information you may need to make your NSW TrainLink Parkes Elvis Festival an unforgettable experience.
Parkes Leagues Club is the venue for the 2014 Keno Feature Concerts proudly supported by ClubsNSW with one of Australia’s leading Tribute Artists, Mark Andrew.
Mark, with his fabulous show band and show girls, perform an amazing two hour spectacle.
