The program encourages youth led advocacy and leadership skills as well as providing participating youths the opportunity to represent their local areas.
In this program Yvette represented the state electorate of Dubbo, which encompasses the Dubbo, Parkes and Forbes local government areas.
Yvette called in at the most recent Parkes Shire Council meeting to thank Council for the financial assistance.
At the same time she spoke of her experiences at the Youth Parliament held at the NSW Parliament House Macquarie Street Sydney.
Yvette was involved in the development, writing and debating of a number of Bills under the portfolio she was assigned – that of Community and Family Services.
