The festival will celebrate all things Irish on the Easter weekend, March 30 and 31.
This year’s festival will see the return of a street parade and a series of entertainment including John Williamson who will appear during a two hour concert on Saturday, March 30.
As well as great music there will be Irish cuisine, Irish dancing, an art show and shearing competition.
Parkes Council voted at its meeting last week to assist the festival by printing posters in-house, provide portable toilets and assist with set up and dismantling of signage for the street parade road closures.
Council will also liaise with Griffins Leading Edge to play music through the Parkes CBD speakers in the week leading up to the festival.
The family friend is expected to attract 2000 people with this year’s Festival to include changes to increase its overall attraction.
Councillor Barb Newton told council changes were being made to increase the diversity of the event.
