To celebrate the arrival, Eugowra farmers and surrounding community members are invited to attend a free launch event on Sunday, March 11, 8.30am at the Eugowra Sports Ground.
Powered by Delta Agribusiness the free event will include an Active Farmers group fitness class, followed by breakfast and an information session.
Active Farmers is a service that brings farmers and community members together through group fitness in a fun and interactive environment.
Designed especially for small rural communities with limited access to fitness expertise and equipment, Active Farmers provides motivational, challenging and fun training sessions to help promote great physical and mental health.
Haylee is excited to be running classes suitable for all levels of fitness and experience, taking two classes per week; Monday’s and Friday’s 6pm-7pm at the Eugowra Sports and Recreational Ground.
Active Farmers was developed by Ginny Stevens in Mangoplah 2 years’ ago.
Classes are designed to suit all levels of fitness and ability, and to provide a fun and welcoming environment that encourages both participation and socialisation.
By improving physical health and social interaction; mental health naturally improves, which is the ultimate goal of the Active Farmers service.
“At Active Farmers, we believe that to have a positive impact on mental health improvement, we need as many towns as possible to be involved, and we look forward to welcoming more many more towns to the network in the future!”, Ginny said.
