A 33-year-old Parkes man has been refused bail after he was arrested and charged with a number of offences on Tuesday.

Darcy James was charged with two counts of take or detain person with intent to obtain advantage, two counts of stalk and intimidate, and two counts of common assault relating to a series of incidents involving a 16-year-old female victim.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between February 15 and 19.
James was denied police bail on Tuesday
He appeared before an authorised justice in Parkes Local Court on Wednesday were he was also refused bail.
He will appear in Parkes Local Court on Monday, April 16.
In an unrelated matter, James was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm after an incident in Welcome Street on Friday, February 16, where he allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old boy.
He will appear in Parkes Local Court on this matter on Monday, March 5.

Police were forced to terminate a pursuit for safety reasons after the car they were chasing reached speeds in excess of 180 kilometres per hour on Monday.
Highway Patrol detected the white Ford Falcon travelling east at high speed on the Escort Way at 12.30pm.
The driver of the Falcon did a u-turn and headed towards Parkes.
Just outside of Parkes another Highway Patrol unit initiated a pursuit of the vehicle.
The driver again did a u-turn and headed back towards Manildra.
The pursuit was terminated due to the excessive speed.
Police located the abandoned vehicle a short time later at Mandagery.
Inquiries are continuing into the identity of the speeding driver.
