Held at Parkes Baptist Church, KAPOW is a summer program for children from kindergarten through to Year 6 and is run jointly by the Parkes Presbyterian and Baptist churches, along with a team of helpers from Sydney.
The program was greatly blessed with the generous donation of fruit by Woolworths Parkes.
An average of 80 children attended KAPOW each day and enjoyed their healthy fruit morning teas.
The grateful Kapow team gave Woolworths a Certificate of Appreciation for their generous donation of fresh fruit daily.
The week was a blast with kids enjoying games, drama, craft, song and dance while learning about God’s rescue plan. The program ran from the 15th to 19th January from 9am to midday.
New kids went along each day and a family barbecue was being held on the Friday at 5:30pm at the Baptist Church to celebrate the end of the week.
