A teenage girl was taken to Parkes Hospital for observation after a tow truck struck the rear of her vehicle in the wet weather on Saturday.

The 17-year-old from Parkes was driving a Mazda 2 east on the Orange Road about midday when she braked at a large amount of water at the Molong Road intersection.
A flat bed tow truck – driven by a 45-year-old man – was travelling behind her and slid into the rear of the Mazda, forcing the car off the road.
The Mazda became bogged in the mud.
The girl was treated at the scene by paramedics and was conveyed to Parkes Hospital for further assessment.
Investigations are continuing into the incident.

There was a break and enter at Northparkes Oval overnight Thursday.
An unknown person gained access into the oval’s building and canteen area throw a window.
About $100 worth of food and drinks were stolen from the premises.

A 15-year-old Parkes boy was arrested and charged following an incident on Thursday.
He was charged with two counts of destroy and damage property to a local school and a vehicle, one count of common assault and breach of bail.
He was refused bail on Thursday but was granted conditional bail the following day.
