Blatch scored a fantastic 44 points to secure a one point win over the in-form Andrew Huntly.
Despite finishing second, it was still a milestone day for Huntly who recorded his first scratch round under 80.
David Jones (41) finished in third, followed by Victor Gaidzionis, Riall Harrison, Ryan Thornberry, Peter Picker, Wayne Parker and Gary Phipps – all with 39 points.
Richard Hutchison and Jarrod Kemp each scored 38.
In the nearest the pins, Gary Phipps finished closest on the IdleRite-Tyrepower 1st hole with a good shot to 400cm from the flag.
Steve Edmunds proved too good on the Griffins Leading Edge 4th hole, putting for birdie from 157cm away.
On the Dirt Doctor Landscaping 6th hole, Phil Bishop hit a good shot to finish only 98cm from the cup.
Bishop’s shot was matched by Colleen Flynn on the Harvey Norman 11th hole.
Flynn’s shot finished 93cm from the flag to claim the nearest the pin and the money hole prize.
Richard Hutchison claimed the prize on the Westlime 15th when his tee shot came to rest 425cm from the pin.
Tim Lasserre hit the best approach shot into the Parkes Readymixed Concrete 9th hole to have a birdie putt from only 189cm.
Anthony Riach continued his good play on the PJL Group 18th hole to hit his approach to 150cm and claim the last award of the day.
Saturday night was the Parkes Golf Club presentation night with a good crowd in attendance.
The major prizes from championships throughout the year were presented by club captain Peter Dixon after president Bernie McCabe welcomed everyone to the night.
Mitch McGlashan was officially crowned Club Champion and also A Grade Matchplay Champion.
McGlashan, celebrating his 22nd wedding anniversary with wife Jane, also won the Play ‘n’ Win award, generously sponsored by telescope Tyres and Batteries.
Dave Whitfield is the B Grade Club Champion while Laurie Wakefield is C Grade Club Champion.
Robert Hey was crowned veterans Club Champion and joined forces with Lynne Guise to claim the Mixed Foursomes Championship.
Guise also claimed the Parkes Golf Club Ladies Club Championship and partnered with sister Kaye Jones to win the ladies Division 1 Foursomes.
Jones also won the ladies A Grade 72 hole handicap award and the veterans 36 hole handicap award.
Kasey Fay-Rice took out the ladies B Grade Club Championship and the Junior Girls Club Championship.
Lachlan Buesnell won the Junior Boys Club Championship.
Anne Berkeley won a number of awards on the night including the ladies C Grade Club Championship, the C Grade 72 hole handicap, and the Brian Collins Smash Repairs/Parkes Caravan Consistency Award.
Laurie Wakefield won the Advice4Life Consistency Award for the men.
