If so you have one week to nominate individuals, groups and organisations for the 2017 Parkes Shire Council Community Awards.
The 2017 Parkes Shire Council Community Awards, recognise outstanding service to the community.
In reminding residents that they have just one week left to put a nomination together Parkes Shire Mayor, Cr Ken Keith OAM said: “we are proud to have a number of individuals and groups making outstanding contributions to the Parkes Shire community.”
"These people are often quiet achievers who contribute to our shared vision of a harmonious, positive and progressive community."
“The annual Australia Day awards are designed to publicly acknowledge and reward the fantastic work of these community members and groups, and encourage others to follow their lead,” Cr Keith said.
Parkes Shire Council invites you to nominate outstanding community members in a number of Community Award categories.
Nominations are being taken for Individuals or a Community Group for an event - two persons or more.
The Cultural Awards, recognising excellence in the performing, visual, and creative arts and crafts in the following Cultural Award categories:
Group - two persons or more.
Adult Citizen - over 25 years of age.
Young Citizen - up to 25 years of age.
Student - up to and including students aged 18 years of age.
Adult - over 18 years of age.
Cultural Award nomination forms can be returned via email to council@parkes.nsw.gov.au or dropped into Council's Administrative Building, with any supporting photos, articles or documents.
To nominate someone, pick up a nomination form from Council, one of Parkes Shire’s libraries, or at the Parkes Visitor Information Centre.
Alternatively, you can download nomination forms from www.parkes.nsw.gov.au.
Community Award nomination forms can be returned via email to events@parkes.nsw.gov.au or dropped into Council's Administrative Building, with any supporting photos, articles or documents.
