The event will be held at TILPA on Saturday, November 11, and incorporates the Landmark Russell Lickety Sprint, Thomas Foods International Gymkhana and Tilpa Pub Barrel Series.
The Hopes n Dreams Pink Lady Barrel Classic was developed as a means of raising money for a good cause.
Events coordinator Carina Stephens said the event now attracts not just old time riders, but also riders who have never barrel raced.
“We even have one or two who have never ridden a horse!” she said.
“It’s all in the name of Breast Cancer Network Australia and the burning desire to help raise funds for such a worthwhile organisation that assists so many of those we love and many we have lost.”
“Breast Cancer can be beaten, it is just going to take money and science and those who dare to defeat it.”
The event is open to riders 40 years of age or over and you can still register now to compete.
“Those competing in Hopes ‘n’ Dreams Pink Lady Barrel Classic have hearts as big as their horses,” Carina said.
“They will be riding to win the event and win over the condition that touches so many families while raising money for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
“They will put on a show you will not want to miss and will give their all.”
The team of rider and horse are given their own link to the main fundraising page. A minimum of $250 needs to be raised from supporters donating on a riders link. Once the $250 has been reached the rider is guaranteed a slot at the Classic.
