Ryan and Hillman shot 70 off the stick, giving them a nett score off 63 to win by half a shot.
A visibly pleased Ken Ryan was happy with the victory.
“It was great to bring a mate from Albert Golf Club and for us to do well,” he said.
“I would like to thank the Life Members for sponsoring the day.”
Ron Hetherington and Karl Chalmers were next on 63.5 followed by Mitch McGlashan and Lachlan Buesnell, and Brad Scott and Brendan Chambers, both on 64.
Ryan Thornberry and Tim Lasserre were next with 64.25, with Laurie Wakefield and Dub Rodgers a quarter of a shot further back on 64.5.
Both Fini Latu and Duncan Constable, as well as Warren Blatch and Tim Burke, finished on 64.75 with the last of the voucher winners being Robert Hey and Glen Buesnell on 65.25.
In the nearest the pins, Glen buesnell’s tee shot which finished 380cm from the pin on the IdleRite-Tyrepower 1st hole was the best of the day.
On the Griffins Leading Edge 4th hole, Brian Hogan Jnr hit a good shot to finish only 141cm from the flag.
Brendan Chambers claimed the award on the Dirt Doctor Landscaping 6th hole after his tee shot came to rest 168cm from the flag.
Ken Ryan claimed both the nearest the pin on the Harvey Norman 11th and the money hole with his tee shot finishing only 120cm from the cup.
Brad Scott hit a good shot into the Westlime 15th hole, finishing 720cm from the flag.
Laurie Wakefield’s approach into the Parkes Readymixed Concrete 9th hole was the best of the day, coming to rest only 310cm from the flag.
Todd Jayet’s second shot into the PJL Group 18th hole was the closest.
This Saturday, Parkes Golf Club members will compete in an Irish team Stableford event.
Playing as a team of four, all players play out each hole as they would in an individual stableford.
On the first six holes (holes 1-6 inclusive), only the best stableford score of the four players is recorded.
On the next five holes (holes 7-11 inclusive) only the best two stableford scores are recorded.
On the next four holes (holes 12-15 inclusive), only the best three stableford scores are recorded.
On the last three holes (holes 16-18 inclusive) all four scores are recorded.
Each player must ensure that his or her name and handicap are recorded on the card.
The card is marked by any of the four players and countersigned by another member of the team.
If a team consists of only three players, the ‘missing’ fourth player will be credited with two stableford points each for the last seven holes.
However, the scoring still remains the same with the three best scores for holes 12-15, and all four scores counting for holes (including the missing player's.
