Two people were taken to hospital for observation after a car accident on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Close and Hooley Streets at 3.30pm.
A 27-year-old male learner driver from Parkes failed to give way and crashed his white Commodore utility into an older model white Ford Laser.
The L plater and his supervising driver were not injured in the collision.
The driver of the Laser was also uninjured, however both his passengers were taken to Parkes Hospital as a precaution.

An 18-year-old Parkes man failed a roadside drug test on Saturday morning.
Police stopped the man in Clarinda Street at 9am.
The roadside drug test returned a positive result for methamphetamines.
Police are awaiting results from further analysis before any charges are laid.

Police are viewing CCTV in an attempt to identify a woman who stole items from a local supermarket at 4pm on Monday last week.
Described as caucasian with blonde hair, the woman stole baby formula and makeup products to the value of $50.

Roof tiles have been removed from two buildings at Parkes Public School.
The malicious damage to L Block and K Block was discovered at 9.30am on Tuesday last week.
The tiles are valued at $200.
