The Grand Master was represented by Right Worshipful Brother Gregg Summerhayes PSGW.
This is the first full installation of the Lodge which was a result of the consolidation of Lodge Parkes and Lodge Lachlan-Jemalong, which met in Forbes.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a cheque for $2970 presented to Mr and Mrs Roylance representing the Riding for the Disabled in Forbes and District.
Parkes Mason, Tony MacKenzie said Masons support their own charities.
“Local Lodges raise money for local charities while still supporting the major charities,” he said.
Locally, some 30 members meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
“It’s not a secret society, it’s a society with secrets!” Tony laughed.
“Give me a call to find out more on 0427 003 884.
“We are always looking for new members and everyone is welcome.”
