Four firearms have been stolen and a house ransacked and vandalised during a break-in on the outskirts of Wellington.

Sometime between Sunday night, September 24, and Monday night, September 25 a property on Montefiores Street, Wellington, was broken into while the occupants were away.
Four rifles, ammunition and four litres of gunpowder were stolen.
Rooms throughout the home were ransacked, gunpowder and wine were poured through the property, graffiti was written on a wall and a car was damaged.
Police are investigating and are appealing for assistance from any person with information about the break in.
