While there’s been plenty of talk surrounding the ability of Latrell Mitchell to decide the clash with the North Queensland Cowboys, Roosters halfback Mitchell Pearce said his side has a number of threats.

Mitchell decided the qualifying final two weeks ago, scoring a late try to down the Brisbane Broncos, but Pearce is adamant he’s not the only one who can send his side through to the grand final.

"But he's been doing that all year for us and even when he came in last year, some of his moments have been unbelievable, just his individual tries,” Pearce said of Mitchell.

"But we've got a few players like that. Obviously Luke Keary is a real X-factor for us as well.

"As a halfback, it's nice to know you have those guys with speed who can create something out of nothing."

Dubbo-born Watson has proved a handy option this season, providing some real spark off the bench while he’s also filled in a number of position throughout 2017.

Watson also has extra motivation heading into this weekend, as he will make the move to the Newcastle Knights from next season.

His versatility has been a bonus for the Roosters but its the chance to make a position his own which led him to join the Knights.

"Obviously, it's in my best interests as a player because I can go up there and look to play 80 minutes every week, where if I stayed here I would be stuck in that utility role for another year,” Watson said after signing.
