Trundle Footy

Hi Trundle footy sponsors, supporters and committee members,

Well what a year we have had! A few of the highlights of the 2017 season are:

- Forming three grades for the second year in a row

- First grade Jersey Calcutta

- TRLFC Reunion weekend

Three grades playing at Tullamore for the first time ever. We raised $5000 for Beyond Blue and Sunflowers League Tag finishing the season at sixth place.

There were two Minor Premierships and two Grand Final appearances. A First grade Jersey Presentation before the Grand Final and one Grand Final win.

  • The Woodbridge Cup Coach of the Year was  Adam Hall.
  • The highest Point Scorer Woodbridge Cup First grade went to Linc Taylor.
  • The highest Point Scorer Woodbridge Cup Youth League was Jarrod McDean.
  • Under 23s Woodbridge Cup Team - Hayden Robinson.
  • Western Rams under 20s Squad - John Allan.

Finally a $500 000 grant to upgrade Berryman Oval.

To say it's been a successful year for the Trundle Rugby League Football Club is an understatement. It's been a year that anyone who is involved with the club will remember for the rest of their lives.

If you couldn't make it to presentation night last Saturday, thank you for supporting our club whether it be as a sponsor, player, volunteer or supporter. People like you make this club the club it is and our community thrives on it.

The AGM will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Trundle Services and Citizens Club at 7pm. We hope to see as many people there as possible to take on new roles and keep this club going for many years to come.

-yours in footy,  Leisa Rowlands

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL

Although I have already said this a couple of times throughout the season, but you all, the whole Trundle community, need a standing ovation in my opinion.

In all of my dealings with the Trundle Rugby League Football Club, there is always a positive outlook on what you are trying to achieve and nothing is ever to much trouble.

A heart felt congratulations to all involved and awesome achievement by one and all for the 2017 season. A special mention to coaches, Adam Hall, Blake Ridges and Geoff Jones on this years achievements. Well done everyone.

-by Wilbur Harris.
