The community group has been allocated funding by Parkes Shire Council to engage with schools through an interactive and educational tour.
The orchestra will be performing for 10 schools over the three days.
Each dynamic performance will go for about 50 minutes and is geared towards engaging and educating children about music appreciation, a variety of instruments and how an orchestra works.
This will all be presented in a fun, fresh and entertaining format for the students.
The three-day tour program includes visiting Holy Family School at 10am, Parkes East Public School at 12noon and Parkes Public School at 2pm.
The orchestra will visit Peak Hill Central School and St Joseph's Primary School from 11.30am on Tuesday and will drop in at Middleton Public School at 2.10pm that afternoon.
On Wednesday it’s off to Tullamore Central School at 9.30am, and Trundle Memorial Hall with Trundle Central, St Patricks Primary and Bogan Gate Primary schools all attending at at 12noon.
The orchestra is made up of more than 20 members from across the Parkes Shire, ranging in age from seven years to 80 years.
