Kat’s bright and happy persona shines through in her artworks.
“I enjoy experimenting with bright colours, textures and mediums to create unique pieces that make people happy,” Kat said.
Her artistic adventure started early in life.
“I have always loved drawing and painting since I was about eight years old.” she said.
“In 2005 I completed a Diploma of Graphic Design at the Hornsby TAFE college. While I was studying I would paint children's paintings and sell them online to help me financially.”
Kat is now the designer and creator of her own art company Katcharly and her artworks have broadened to suit adults and children alike with their bright and trendy themes.
“I gain inspiration from a large variety of things including travelling, magazines, books and nature and I love to be surrounded by beautiful and bright things in my home so that I am always inspired.”
Kat is the third artist from Parkes NSW to exhibit with May Raechelle Art Gallery with our rural artist exhibitions this year.
It appears to be quite the artist’s hub and a supportive and nurturing environment is important for artists of all ages.
“I create my paintings out of my hometown in Parkes where I have the love and support of my family and friends.”
So get your groove on and ease on down the road to see a bit of the bright side of life in Millthorpe!
