Luke ran the 200m in 25.95 seconds breaking the previous record of 26.07 set in 1999.
He ran the 400m in 1:01.79, the previous record of 1:02.16 was set in 2002.
Luke also won the 100m event and was just a millisecond off breaking that record too.
Luke competed against students from Dubbo, Orange, Wagga Wagga, Wellington and Narromine Christian Schools.
For someone who only started running two years ago and “doesn’t train”, Luke said he was very surprised he broke the records.
“Now I’m determined to break some more,” he said.
Luke will compete in the 100, 200 and 400 metre sprints at the Christian Schools Sports Association (CSSA) State Athletics Carnival in Homebush this Thursday.
Luke’s favourite event is the 100m sprint.
“I prefer sprints to long distance,” he said.
“I normally run in the top three in our school athletics carnivals.”
Luke went to Little Athletics once last November and broke the 1500 and 800 metre records.
“I am going to start training and get more serious about it,” he said.
“I’d like to be a sprinter, maybe even go to the Olympics one day.”
Luke said his PE teacher Mr Hardy is giving him some coaching.
“Mr Hardy is helping me some lunch times with starts and basic strategies for the 400 metre,” he said.
