As part of the Paint Parkes REaD with Friends promotion, all schools were invited to arrange for two of their Kindergarten to Year 6 students to attend the 2PK recording studio to record short rhymes.
The recordings will be played over the town sound system and on the radio.
It was a marvellous experience for the students who attended.
Radio announcer and recording officer, Elliot Kinsela provided an exciting, informative and hands-on session for each student.
Elliott patiently coached the students, ensuring they were relaxed and prepared.
The students enjoyed the whole experience, with one declaring he’d like to be on the payroll as the weather announcer.
The Reading Day committee wishes to thank both Elliott and 2PK manager, Jackie Sullivan, for their caring and obliging manner.
