The day kicked off with a reunion breakfast before Trundle won two of its three games – youth league won 32-16, league tag lost 0-16 and First Grade won 50-14.
The premiership teams from 1952, 72, 82 and 92 returned to Trundle for the event.
The old boys of the Trundle Rugby League Football Club have been dusting off their jerseys and jackets over the past few months to wear proudly at the reunion.
The day started with breakfast in the park, where former players had the chance to catch up and share some stories before the football kicked off after 12 noon.
An estimated three hundred and fifty people were in attendance, travelling from all over New South Wales to celebrate the day.
Leisa Rowlands, Trundle Rugby League Football Club Secretary, said the day was a reunion for all past players, sponsors and supporters but special attention went to the premiership winning players of 1972, 1982 and 1992.
“In attendance on the day was Ian ‘Tiger’ Curr, the only surviving member of the 1952 Premiership winning team which was a special moment for all involved,” Leisa said.
The 1st Grade Boomers were presented with their game day jersey by the Captain/Coach of the 1972 team, Dixie Johnson.
“Special thanks need to go to Dixie and former team mate Ian Page who were the two main organisers of the day,” she said.
“Thank you to Kay Page, who worked tirelessly to put together a huge display of old memorabilia including photos and newspaper articles as old as 1902.
“Many people enjoyed pointing out their granddad, dad, brothers and cousins from years past.
Leisa said the TRLFC was proud to host such a successful event.
“Everybody in attendance had a great time and the football games on the day were very entertaining,” she said.
“Thank you to everyone who attended the day, it sure was special.”
