All ANZHotshots starts next week from Monday, July 24.
Hotshots will run Monday and Friday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm.
This program will be run for eight weeks with all groups a maximum of four players for half an hour so plenty of specialised attention assured.
For any further information or registrations regarding Hotshots program please phone Helen Magill on 0407 253 888.
Performance squad will start tomorrow and Development squad will start next Monday, Juluy 24.
Junior comp will commence Tuesday, July 25.
Divisions are half hour singles and singles and doubles where you play one set of singles and one set of doubles.
Helen will check with all players from last terms comp and any new players who would like to play will need to get in contact with Helen by Thursday please.
Next week there will be a report from the junior trip to the USA which was an overwhelming success.
While Helen and the juniors were away, Holly McColl, Olivia and Ellen Dolbel competed at the Country Championships at Forster.
All played some good tennis throughout the week and were involved in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
Ellen was extremely unlucky when she finished equal first in her singles only to miss out on the playoffs after games for and against were calculated.
Our juniors are certainly learning the importance of every single game.
They play throughout different events during this year so far which have come down to a count back of games.
Ellen and her partner from Nepean also made the semis of the mixed doubles and just lost in a super tiebreak.
CHS TENNIS
Huge congratulations to Yasmin Potts, Hannah Potts, Phoebe Potts, Holly McColl and Maddy McCormick who were successful at the Western combined high school trials held late last term.
Yasmin has been in the side since Year 7 which is a credit to her.
Hannah and Phoebe will experience their fourth year and Holly her second.
Maddy stepped up beautifully and played well beyond expectation but showed the results of some extra practise to take a spot at her first attempt.
Well done also to Olivia Dolbel and Kayla Swetland who made the playoffs but sadly fell at the first hurdle.
They will certainly be back next year and with some improved preparation they will be far more competitive.
