The centre is a purpose-built education facility to meet the needs of children and youth into the future.
It’s based on Mamre Farm at Alectown and cost more than $213,000, which was funded by members of Mamre Fellowship and supporters of Vision Ministries across Australia.
The facility was completed and opened free of debt, originally dedicated by Bishop David Huskins from the USA.
The Mamre Learning Centre became the vision of the late Lawrie Westcott, and his wife Sue, who were both called by God to a ministry teaching children.
Their devotion and leadership of the Building Committee meant the whole project went ahead smoothly to completion.
The physical construction of the centre was professionally carried out by Jason Mitchell’s Building Services.
Finally on June 11 at 2.30pm, Bishop Harry Westcott invited a group of committed folk to gather in the Mamre Learning Centre to honour and appreciate Lawrie and Sue Westcott’s leadership.
They also honoured all who worked on the project and gave liberally to its debt-free construction.
