All three ladies came from Sydney to work in Parkes.
Amy and Eliza working for the RMS and Jemima the Department of Education.
We are really pleased they contacted us.
If you are a new resident to Parkes or know of someone please let them know that we welcome all who love to play music.
The last few months we have played on ANZAC Day, travelled to Trundle to play at the 2017 ABBA Festival, the Sunrise to Sunset Heritage Day and the Southern Cross Village Fete.
We really enjoy getting out to play in our community.
Seven of the band members had time to commit to playing in the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
For you who saw the show, like us, we thought it was such a good fun show.
We are really keen to musically support the fantastic team who organize the shows at the M & D Society.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to become part of a great group of people who all volunteer their time, who are very welcoming to new people to the theatre and you make friendships along the way.
If you used to play an instrument or would like to learn, please come along.
Parkes Shire Concert Band rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 7pm – 9pm during school term, above the Pool Complex in Dalton Street.
Parkes Shire Concert Band members are keen to playout more in the community, so let us know if you have an event on.
