Before last Saturday’s afternoon golfers teed off, the club held its annual general meeting with a number of vacant positions needing to be filled.
All positions were filled as the board looks forward to helping the club into a sound position.
Mr Thomas, a Life Member, spent many years as president before taking the reins as captain.
He was ineligible to continue in his role as captain after serving out his term with veteran golfer Peter Dixon hoping to be an admirable replacement.
Bernie McCabe remains president with Anita Medcalf the new vice-president.
Anita moves to the new role after being secretary, a job which will now be handled by Peter Bristol.
Peter Magill joined David Stevenson, Brian Hogan, and Matthew Swetland as directors while Peter Boschman remains treasurer.
Mr McCabe made special mention of Mr Thomas’ contribution to the club.
