Chloe Carty, Tommy Searl, Jack Skinner, Toby Collins and Quinn Hennock represented the Diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes at Polding selection trials in Bathurst and Lithgow.
The quintet were stand-out performers for their Diocesan teams after playing matches against Diocesan teams from Lismore, Broken Bay, Bathurst, Armidale and Maitland-Newcastle.
Holy Family Primary School principal Denise Gersbach is thrilled at the students’ achievements.
“Polding is a half-state Catholic team so selection is a very high achievement,” she said.
Quinn was selected in the Polding soccer team.
This will be his first year representing Polding in the sport, where he has been selected as a forward.
Quinn will compete at the NSW PSSA carnival at Armidale from August 15 to 17.
Chloe, Tommy, Jack and Toby have been selected in the Polding hockey teams.
Chloe has been selected as a striker, Tommy as a mid-fielder, Toby as an outside half and Jack as a defender.
This year marks Tommy’s second year in the Polding team, with first time selection for Chloe, Jack and Toby.
Tommy, Jack and Toby will compete at the NSW PSSA carnival at Wyong from August 29 to 31, while Chloe will compete at Moorebank next month, from July 25 to 27.
