The duo is headed to Europe after the round eight clash, but will play again this season if Souths qualifies for the finals.
In order to do that, the currently sixth-placed Souths must beat Feds.
“The girls are in a good frame of mind at the moment, this is Tahl’s and Tahnee’s farewell,” Souths coach Damien Carter said.
“But like last week, we need to win. This is a game I want to win and I expect to win, we need to win to keep in touch.”
When meeting in the season opener, Feds emerged as 2-1 winners. But Souths was without Cranston and Sarah Watterson for that match, and both will be available this time around.
“We’ve shown what we can do with a full side and we’ve only got Maddy Boyce out,” Carter said.
“I’m expecting a better scoreline than a 2-1 loss and I think that would put us in good stead for Parkes next week. If we can beat Parkes again, that’s three wins in a row and the season isn’t looking so bad.
“Feds, we will be treating them the same as we did last time we played them. They don’t have the out and out speed of sides like City and Lithgow Panthers, they go up the middle and use Rachel Divall.
“What cost us last time was some lazy marking, that’s where they got their two goals.
“Obviously the turf up there didn’t help the speed of the game too, but back on our own turf, I think we’ve got the potential to play that quick game, especially with Sarah Watterson back.”
Carter will use Emma Siejka in the halves this Saturday alongside Sophie Macauley, with Maddy Airey at centre half.
That trio will be used to feed the likes of Watterson, Ali Stanford, Shannon Fisher and Meg Booth in attack.
The match at Bob Roach Field starts at 1pm.
