A 25-year-old man has died on a football field on Sydney's northern beaches after he collapsed during a fifth-grade rugby game and could not be revived.

The Warringah Rats were playing Randwick on Saturday afternoon at Pittwater Rugby Park, when one of the Rats players fell to the ground.
Bystanders called an ambulance. CPR was performed as a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the efforts to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful.
"Emergency services were called to a football field about 1.45pm with concerns for the welfare of a man who collapsed during a football match," she said.
"The death is not considered suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
In a post on Facebook, the Rats said all other games at the park - known as Rat Park - had been cancelled for the day.
"Warringah Rugby Club advises that due to an incident involving an injury to a player during a game played earlier today, all games at Rat Park have been cancelled," the club said.
In a statement, Randwick Rugby said it sends its "sincere condolences to the family of the deceased Warringah player".
"The thoughts and prayers of all at the Galloping Greens are with the player's family and the Warringah Rugby Club after today's devastating news," they said.
