The workshop is sponsored by the Social Innovation Council in collaboration with the Department of Finance, Services, and Innovation.
They aim to find out how they can support NSW NGOs to better use data and digital opportunities.
The workshop will be facilitated by Mentally Friendly, a digital product and service design studio based in Sydney.
Mentally Friendly Strategist Vicki Wilson said the best way the NSW Government can support NGOs to harness data and digital opportunities is by speaking to NGO employees themselves.
“That's what we're here for - to uncover existing pain points, capabilities, and aspirations to inform recommendations,” Vicki said.
LiveBetter CEO Tim Curran said it is important for community services to have mature systems that both capture data and assist communications.
“Regional Not-for-Profit organisations need to be using digital opportunities to communicate with their customer base, particularly because of the geographic spread of communities they serve,” Mr Curran said.
The workshop will be held at the 4C Theatre, 107 Prince St Orange from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday, May 30, with refreshments provided.
