And fete goers are encouraged to ignore the forecast rain as everything is under cover.
The fete will run from 9am until 2pm in the school grounds where there are stalls galore.
The cake stall (with the famous Parkes East lamingtons), the garden stall (including 85 bags of manure) and “trash and treasure” are sure to be popular again this year.
There are also gift baskets, tombola, crazy hair, displays, a jumping castle and lucky dips to name but a few.
If you’re out and about in Parkes drop into the coffee shop, or perhaps enjoy a barbecue or dagwood dog or hot chips!
There will be an auction at 12noon (two “dressed” lambs, windscreen, car tint, restaurant vouchers, State of Origin tickets, wood, seafood dinner for two, custom made fire bucket, a will package, car wash tokens, and lots more).
At 1.30pm the IGA $1000 grocery raffle, garden raffle and wood raffle will be drawn.
“A big thank you to the business houses and individuals who have supported the students of Parkes East by donating to our fete,” principal Michael Ostler said.
Money raised will contribute to the continued upgrade of technology resources to support the school’s robotics program.
“You can be assured that the fete will be up to the usual high standard of Parkes East fetes, so come along and have some fun, grab a bargain and a bite to eat,” Mr Ostler said.
“Don’t forget the fete is running until 2pm this year, so after junior sport come along and grab some lunch.”
