The Trundle Fire Service was busy last Tuesday, fighting a fire at the local rubbish tip. There were explosions heard and the smoke and fumes from the tip were heavy in the town and it would have been worrying for those patients at the MPS. On Wednesday morning the smoke and fumes still hung around making it uncomfortable to walk around the town.

Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser
A Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser will be held at the Trundle Hotel on Friday, May 26 from 10am. This will be hosted by Dolly and all enquiries can be made to Dolly on 0428 921 092. Take away plates are available.
Mother’s Day Raffle
The Trundle Branch of the Royal Far West drew the winners of their mother’s day raffle on Friday. The first prize was a pink handbag full of beauty products and was won by Alexis Gaut from Trundle. Alexis is only two years old and the daughter of Kristie Nipperess and David Gaut, little sister to Xavier Gaut. The second prize of blue freshwater pearls was won by Robin Blunden.
TRUNDLE HEALTH COUNCIL REPORT
At our last meeting, discussions and ideas were put forward for our 2017 Action Plan. We also discussed our achievements from 2016. Trundle Health Council would also like to encourage anyone from the Trundle community and outlying areas that are interested in joining our team and making a difference for the community to contact us. Contact details can be found in the local school newsletters, on community noticeboards and on the doctors surgery noticeboard.
Trundle Footy News
Last Saturday the Boomers Football Club traveled to Eugowra to play a triple header. Youth League showed why they are now on top of the table winning strongly against Eugowra. With ten minutes to go the scores were locked at 22 - 22. Trundle showed their impressive attacking style and came home winners beating Eugowra 42-22.
The Sunflowers League Tag team had an impressive kicking game but were unable to put points on the board against the faster and more disciplined Eugowra team. Trundle lost 22-0.
The first grade game was entertaining with the forward packs doing the hard work so their backs could have room in attack. Trundle played an outstanding game of football and the scoreboard proved it, with Trundle winning 30-10. Thanks again to all the crowd that continue to support our club. This Sunday sees our second home game of the season with a triple header against Manildra.
