Round 2 of Parkes senior tennis competition

The Questionables looked sharp last week even without one of their team members.

James Fisher was a fine replacement for Jaco Barnard and help to guide the team in a clean sweep over Hip’n’Happenin.

A close match on the front courts saw Teen Aces players Hannah Potts, Phoebe Potts and Holly McColl scrape in for a well deserved win over Top Shelf’s Michael Green, Abbey Kennedy and Maddy McCormick 4 sets to 2 with 3 sets going to 6/5.

It didn’t take Lucky Strings long to find their form.

Round 2 and Nic Ryan, Max Keith and Luke Dunn proved too solid in all areas for Smash Hits team of Mark Ritchie, Joe Doyle and Ang Bottaro-Porter with their convincing 5 sets to 1 scoreline.

Crumbling Biscuits and Bandana Bandits had somewhat of an up and down match. Set scores looked quite easy but were not necessarily indicative of the matches played. Crumbling Biscuits finished with a 4 sets to 2 win.

Mixed Lollies acquired the services of sub Phil Kirk and he helped Paul Dunford and Stacey Townsend to a 5 sets to 1 win over Daw TV in the final match completed last week.

Round 3 tonight.

Competition organiser Helen Magill thanks everyone for arriving early and organising their own subs when necessary.
