The seminar was attended by 40 martial arts practitioners from ACT, Orange, Narrandera, Sydney and Parkes over two days with Paul and Ian instructing techniques in the exciting and unique style of fighting.
Local Kyokushin and NSW Kudo branch chief Darren Jordan said that Kudo combines elements of Karate, Judo, Muay Thai and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu.
“Kudo allows all concepts of full contact fighting and utilises the safety of a protective headgear that allows for head contact,” he said.
Paul Cale is very well known for his knowledge and skill in many Martial Arts disciplines, he is also known for his Military Combat Services and is head of the Australian Defence Forces Martial Arts Board to which he instructs the Armed Forces in unarmed combat principles.
People in the Central West are extremely lucky to receive instruction in Kudo from two of Australia’s most highly skilled Kudo exponents,” Darren said.
“Kudo offers realistic fighting for self defence as well as competition and Parkes has recently sent a local, Carlson Johnson, to compete in the Kudo World Cup in Mumbai India.”
Darren holds Kudo classes at the the Chikara Kyokushin Samurai Dojo PCYC, Pearce Street, Parkes each Thursday 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
