To see an itinerary of all that is taking place take a look at the list in the windows of the Op Shop and the Trundle Food Store. The CWA ladies are kicking things off with a Quilt Exhibition and Morning tea at 10am on Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5. There will also be a Music Trivia night at the Trundle Hotel at 7pm o, if you like, a Pink Ribbon Night at the Services Club.
On Saturday, May 6 the markets open at 11am. There will be the Parkes Shire Concert Band in the main street at 11am, and 12pm sees the first show of the Kranskey Sisters in the Memorial Hall, and the Bathurst Choir singing in the main street. These are just a few of the events happening before it really gets going! So don’t forget, check the itinerary in the Food Store and the Op Shop
Raffles
The Trundle Branch of the Royal Far West Sunshine Club has two great raffles. First one will be drawn on May 6 during the ABBA Festival.
First prize is a framed picture of ABBA and the second prize is a Trundle/ABBA tee shirt. Tickets are $1 and available from the Op Shop
Second raffle is a Mother’s Day raffle and will be drawn on May 12. First prize is a Handbag full of Body Care Products and the second prize is a string of Blue Freshwater Pearls, donated by Nangar Gems.
Tickets are also $1 and available from the Op Shop. Prizes are on show at the Op Shop.
Visitors to Trundle area
Brad Alvey, Kelli Blunden and children, Charli and Ryder, have been holidaying with Brad’s parents, Rick and Heather Alvey in Tullamore. They left on Sunday to return home to Gunnadah.
Robin Blunden has some visitors from Ulverstone, Tasmania. They are Jill and John Billings. They are staying with their caravan at the caravan park for the next four days.
Jane, Jeff, Benjamin and Christopher McIlhatton spent last weekend with their family.
It was nice to see Margaret Waldron back in Trundle last week visiting family and friends.
David Whiley and his two daughters, Inari and Ava, from Glenreagh (Coffs Harbour) spent a few days visiting his father, Les Whiley Snr. David also played football on Sunday for Trundle in Young.
Suzie McLean, previously of Tullamore, now of Newcastle, spent the weekend visiting with her mum, Clare, of Tullamore. She had a lovely time catching up with old friends.
Allan and May Jones for Boambee East (Coffs Harbour) have been visiting friends, Daryl and Grace Hosking in Trundle as well as their grandson, Jesse Durning and great grandson, Will Durning and Jesse’s fiancée, Breanna Horsburgh in Tullamore.
They have also been visiting friends in Parkes, Mudgee and Forbes. They are staying for the ABBA Festival before heading home.
Anthony and Trish Wright immensely enjoyed their four day Easter break. They took their caravan and had a fabulous relaxing time, fishing, kayaking and shopping.
