Group 11 coach Byron Warren said as much following his side’s 28-10 win over Group 10.
“Yes and no … it’s a touchy one,” he said.
“Whether things will change next year is something different, the kids just love footy.
“It’s a healthy rivalry, Group 10 and 11. It’s been around for a long time.”
Meanwhile, if Western coach Mick Armstrong learnt anything from last year’s failed league tag Country Championship campaign, it’s there’s no substitute for speed – lucky the Bathurst-based coach is a fast learner.
Led by lightning fast outside backs Darcie Morrison, Heidi Regan and Amy Hotham, Armstrong’s 2017 Western side will take on Monaro in round one at Cowra looking to improve on last year’s exit in the opening week.
