A 14-year-old Queanbeyan girl allegedly threatened family members with a knife after they refused to let her eat ice-cream for breakfast.

The teen was denied bail when she faced the NSW Children's Court in Queanbeyan on Sunday morning, following the incident on Saturday.
The court was told that the girl "went off" after waking up hungry following a "big night" on Thursday.
She allegedly picked up the knife when two family members told her she could not eat ice-cream and pasta for breakfast.
The girl has been charged with causing malicious damage, two counts of intimidation, breaching an apprehended violence order and breaching bail.
Sergeant Robert Powell said NSW Police "strongly opposed" the granting of bail.
"The situation [on Saturday] could have been disastrous," he said.
"For the protection of others we are opposing bail."
The registrar of the court said bail would not be appropriate under the circumstances.
"There are no conditions that would mitigate the risk of bail at this stage," he said.
In a statement, NSW Police described the alleged incident.
"About 5.30pm Saturday April 8, police were called to a home in Queanbeyan following reports the girl had damaged a wall and threatened two family members with a knife," they said.
The girl is expected to face the NSW Children's Court on Monday.
