Not only did she place third in the 11 years girls AWD shot put and create two new Australian records (in shot put and in discus) at the titles in Homebush last November, she won three medals at the NSW CPS Swimming Championships last week.
Competing in the senior girls multiclass, 11-year-old Victoria won the 50m breaststroke with a time of 2:21.39, was second in the 50m backstroke (1:55.93) and second in the 50m freestyle (2:14.09)
She also knocked an impressive 22 seconds off her entering time.
Victoria is very pleased with her awards.
“I am really proud of my times,” she said.
“This is the first time I’ve won medals for swimming.”
This performance qualifies Victoria to compete at state level, but due to other commitments she won’t be able to make it this year.
Victoria’s mother Deanne said her improvement has been amazing.
“When she enters something, she does the very best she can,” she said.
Holy Family students Georgia Rice, Mitchell Arndell and Kai Airey were also thrilled to record personal best times at the championships.
