The NSW Police Force maintains a confidential database, called BIZKEYS, where business owners supply police with a list of key holders and their contact details.
It is an important and very useful tool for police – for example, when a window of a business premises is broken during the night, we need to know who to ring so the business can be secured again.
We are encouraging business owners to contact the Crime Prevention Officer Senior Constable Daniel Greef, on 6862 9936 or gree1dan@police.nsw.gov.au and have him send your business a keyholder form (by post or email).
All information given is confidential and stored on a secure database within the police computer system.
