Red Cross’ national fundraising campaign, Red Cross Calling, is now in its 69th year and is held annually in March.
The Parkes branch has decided to run their campaign from March 27 to March 31.
Volunteers will be on the corner of Clarinda and Church streets from 10am everyday on these dates, collecting donations from the community.
“Red Cross helps people in the community, across Australia and the world,” secretary Alison Dixon said.
“The money goes towards farming communities, fire relief funds – any major disasters really and any humane need,” treasurer Allison Howlett added.
For anyone who would like to support the Parkes Red Cross and their numerous appeals, be sure to look out for its volunteers from March 27.
