Parkes took a record eight teams across four age divisions in both boys and girls competitions.
Whilst none of the Parkes teams made it to the finals all teams performed above expectations against some very solid competition.
An example of this was in the U16 Boys division wereby the Parkes side were beaten 8-1 in the their first game Friday morning by the Wests Magpies; with that same Wests side going on to win the division in the final 8-7.
Further evidence that Parkes punches above its weight in touch footy is evidenced by the fact that no less than 12 of our players have made it to the Hornets Regional Touch squads.
This is a huge achievement for a small country club when competing against players from across the Hunter and Western Regional areas.
A huge thank you must go to the coaches, managers and organisers who give their time and knowledge freely to ensure that our Parkes kids get the opportunities they deserve.
