The muster will include a coach load of visitors from the South Coast Country Music Association and several caravaners.
The weekend’s entertainment will be held in the Startlight Lounge of the Parkes Services Club and commence around 3pm on the Saturday afternoon going through to 6pm when we will break for an evening meal and recommence at 7.30pm til late.
Sunday morning will see us gather at 10am till 12 midday, a break for lunch and begin again at 1pm until our visitors leave around 2.30pm.
Our usual muster admission fee will apply and carry through for the whole weekend.
February Muster – once again a successful night was held with Gary Hemming as our featured artist.
Along with our regulars from Cowra, Forbes and Parkes we also welcomed performers Alan Ford and Melanie Harris from Orange and Barry Joseph and Garry Hollier from Dubbo.
Street Stall – just a reminder that our fundraising committee have their first street stall on Friday, April 7.
50th Anniversary Re-union 1967-2017 – The Parkes and District Country Music Association is this year to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 2PK Country Music Jamboree (as it was originally known) to present day 2PK Central West CMA Awards, with a special Country Music Event from Friday 29th September to Sunday 1st October.
Celebrations of the Anniversary will commence with a concert on the Friday evening featuring some of our past major winners, including the 2016 Outstanding achiever Pete Armstrong.
Guest Artists and backing band will be the Footloose Country Band from Newcastle featuring Ken and Joanne Foote.
The Central West Country Music Awards Talent Quest will take place on the Saturday, with the Gala Awards and Winners Concert to follow Saturday evening.
Sunday, October 1 will be dedicated solely to the 50th reunion.
