The heavy vehicle was travelling north when it left the roadway just south of Alectown and rolled onto its side.
The driver, a 60-year-old Blacktown man, was assisted from the truck by members of the public before being transported by Ambulance to Dubbo Hospital with minor injuries.
Initial reports suggest a heavy storm and strong winds in the area may have contributed to accident and investigations are continuing.
A severe storm warning for large hail, heavy rain and wind has been in place for the area for most of the day, with 34mm of rain recorded in Parkes, and 24mm in Alectown from 9am to 3pm.
