Scott Knights outplayed the classy Irsan Yong 6/3.
Siblings Kurt and Lyndal Matthews followed up with an impressive 6/2 win over Daya Peiris and Owen Jensen.
Daya came out firing in his singles against Kurt but Lyndal stood tall and turned the tables on Owen in their singles to give Davis Cup a 4 sets to 2 win.
Full of Excuses proved too good for Trev’s Troopers. Full of Excuses won through 4 sets to 2.
Net Result and Smash Hits had a great match. Brenden Weekes was well ahead of Julian Fyfe but Julian fought back to get close with brenden closing out a 6/4 win. Joe Doyle was run off his feet when he played Abbey Kennedy and Joe made Abbey hit an extra ball in every rally.
Abbey was frustrated in the end with Joe’s rallying ability and Joe scored a 6/4 win. The set of the night though was between Angela Porter and Maddy McCormick. Ang got off to a great start and Maddy was forced into errors. Although Ang lead 5/1, Maddy was not giving up and clawed her way back to eventually score a well deserved 6/5 win giving Net Result a 4 sets to 2 win 31 games to 30.
Top Shelf was on fire last week and their super sub Alison McCormick reveled in the encouraging company of Michael Green and Sheridan Kirk. Top Shelf were too good for Spin’n’Win 5 sets to 1.
Jag and Terminetters had a real tussle last week with all sets hard fought. Graeme Tanswell showed some nice skills and consistency against Andrew Hayne scoring a 6/4 win while Gary Morgan had Hannah Tanswell doing plenty of running in their singles set. Gaz took a 6/2 win.
Connor Morgan subbing for Justine Fisher worked hard to win points against the ever consistent Amelia Tanswell with Amelia doing enough to win 6/3.
JAG won all three doubles sets though to finish with a 4 sets to 2 victory.
In the final two matches Deuce Bags and Teen-Aces had convincing wins.
